Where did you go? Although you are still here,

your look of confusion fills me with fear.

I am part of your family, can’t you see? Why don’t you recognise it, as you are looking at me?

It doesn't make sense, where have you gone?

Why do you still remember, every word to that song?

I feel frustrated as you sit there and stare, looking uncomfortable in your favourite chair.

I will sit by you and hold your hand, Try to explain things and hope you understand.

Hoping you can remember as you look at my face,

Wishing wherever you are it’s a better place.

I will offer you comfort and go through photographs together, Building memories that last me forever.

I know deep inside you are still there. As long as you are not in pain because that won’t be fair.

I will stay with you, show you love and empathy, Hold you tight, hug you, and kiss you, until you are set free. That’s all that matters I want you to know.

I will never forget you wherever you go!
