Last year our Dementia Friends Champions created over 16,000 new Dementia Friends during Dementia Awareness Week and there is still time for you to plan Sessions and help us beat that record.
At Alzheimer's Society, we believe that life doesn't end when dementia begins, and that it’s possible to do new things and have new experiences too, like Ken. That’s what this year’s Dementia Awareness Week is all about and why we’d like you to ‘do something new’ when you run your Info Sessions.
How can Champions #DoSomethingNew?
Whether it’s a Session for a new audience, in an unusual location or just using one of the different Session Resources, your ‘do something new’ activity can be big or small. Champion Christine is going to be running her first Session at a school as her ‘do something new’ and Daisy is running a Session each day of Dementia Awareness Week!
Promote your #DAW2015 Information Sessions
To help you promote your Sessions we have a specially designed Dementia Awareness Week poster, a special Press Pack for you to use to promote what you are up to in the local media and lots of social media tips to help you shout about your Sessions on Facebook and Twitter. This is all available from your Sessions Resources. Log in to your account to access the resources.
